An Arianespace Soyuz rocket, designated VS13, will launch on a mission from the Guiana Space Center in South America. The Soyuz will carry two Galileo full operational capability satellites for Europe’s Galileo navigation constellation. The Soyuz 2-1b (Soyuz ST-B) rocket will use a Fregat-MT upper stage.
LISA Pathfinder, formerly Small Missions for Advanced Research in Technology-2 (SMART-2), is an ESA space probe that will test technologies needed for the Evolved Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (eLISA), an ESA gravitational wave observatory planned to be launched in 2034.
